All this time…

It has been a long, LONG time since anyone posted here! Almost a year!!! Ok, not quite. Well, I believe God’s been faithful to the whole family in the time past. We’ve kept in touch with many people but others have been a bit rare though we believe God’s keeping them and watching over them.
During the time past, we’ve seen many thing s happening…

Zziwa and Laura… sorry… that’d be Peter and Laura got married December 2008 and the Lord’s being even more faithful to them… they are about to get an addition to their family…

Suzan got married in December too, though it’s been a while since we saw her… yeah.
Loads of guys graduated… many of the pioneers and other guys… although eh eh… it seems like the more time goes by, the less popular grad harre’s become… Man, catch me not throwing one after spending that time at school! More than half my life and still counting… Hmmm… Anyway, yeah. So that…

I guess the biggest event was handing over authority to a new committee… I’m surprised no one posted about the annual dinner… it was a B.L.A.S.T!!! The dinner was in March at Shanghai Restaurant and man it was crazy… it was so cool attending a dinner where we could be formal yet totally ourselves… I guess that always happens at BASIC dinners… If you’ve not attended one, you should totally plan to be there for the next one coz bambi… that experience is just for being personal… No one can totally narrate it nicely for anyone else… the company was great, guys looked cool- they were totally dressed up great... as for the ladies... H.O.T! The kimere was gist, we had interesting activity and a sweet poem by the one and only… Josh. Generally, everything was great. And it was graced by the presence of our patron, Mr. Isaac Eyalama. In short, the whole day was great, thanks to our great organisers- Barbra (the new Big Sis for BASIC Matures) and Brenda as well as Nasha and all the other guys that helped out in one way or another.

So ok... after that, we had many other things going... seeing the new guys taking over and fellowshipping together, building each other through the rest of last semester... the last for some of us who’ve been at campus for like forever... BASIC has really been a place of growth for many of us... the friendship and encouragement that we got there while at campus was really great... and even still, after campus.

The last day of the sem, 30th May, we had an elders’ meeting... this time I got to attend legally- as an elder... ok, elder-to-be! It was an elders’ meet and initiation for the new elders. We were blessed to have the company of Barbra and Bruce there and we talked about loads of things, especially Project 150%. I think it’s a really cool thing we are doing- this and we did have loads of suggestions and yeah... we actually met new people as well, which is always a blessing. Our next meet up is August 29th so... those who missed the last one should make sure they are there for the next... it’s always a blast.

So I guess those were the things I wanted to highlight for those who’ve not been able to be coming for the meetings... we are always updated especially through V.B so make sure you are hooked... we grow from glory to glory and it’s a place to learn, share ideas, be encouraged and have loads of fun... as usual with the family... that’s one place they never go wrong.

Well, y’all be blessed with all the blessings you’ve already been given in Christ- peace, joy, excellence in all you do, divine health, protection, provision, favour, and every good thing you can think of... remember Jesus came that you may have life and life in all it fullness...

Shalom and keep SAILing in love.
